The University of Buckingham has a long and interesting history. As one of Britain's oldest independent universities, it was first the University College at Buckingham (UCB), which was incorporated on 29 March 1973 and formally opened in February 1976 by the Rt. Hon. Mrs Margaret Thatcher, MP, as former Secretary of State for Education. It was later incorporated as a university in 1983.

Grade Requirements:

● The typical A-level offer is normally BBB-BCC, IB:30-32, BTEC: DDM from a relevant National Diploma or equivalent UCAS Tariff points,

English Proficiency: 

● International students whose first language is not English are to provide proof of proficiency in the language. An IELTS of 6.5 with at least 6.0 in each component is accepted.

For the 2025/2026 academic year, the tuition fee to study the BSc Business Management programme at the University of Buckingham is £22,200 per year.

The University of Buckingham provides financial support to international students through various scholarship schemes. The International Undergraduate High Achiever Scholarship offers a tuition fee reduction of £2500 for international undergraduate students with high grades. Also available is the Sheikh Mubarak Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah Scholarship which offers a £40,000 scholarship for outstanding Arabic students pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree.
