BA Football Business

The BA Football Business (with Foundation Year) at the University of Bedfordshire is a four-year course. You begin with a foundation year that builds your writing, maths, and study skills. Once you pass that, you move on to the main degree. You learn how football works off the pitch, covering club marketing, stadium investment, community projects, fan culture, and money in football. In the foundation year, students build essential academic skills plus basic football business knowledge. After that, students choose football business, coaching or studies. The foundation year ensures students who didn’t meet standard entry criteria can still enter the degree.

Students learn through lectures, group discussions, hands-on tasks, and simulations. They visit clubs, go behind the scenes at Luton Town FC, and take part in match-day experiences. Students are assessed with reports, plans, presentations, and real-world tasks.

The course gives access to top facilities like 4G pitches, a sports arena, a gym with an Olympic weight room, a strength and conditioning suite, therapy spaces, and a sports injury clinic. It also offers work placements through partnerships with clubs like Luton Town FC and collaborative bodies like CIMSPA.
