BEng Electronic and Electrical Engineering with a Foundation Year
Course overview
This four-year programme begins with a preparatory Foundation Year, designed to equip students with the essential mathematical and scientific knowledge needed for the BEng degree. The degree is highly important, covering fields from global mobile networks to modern renewable energy sources, training students for electrical, electronic, and nanoengineering roles worldwide.
The way students learn is through traditional lectures, lots of hands-on practical lab time, and essential project work, all done using modern, industry-standard equipment. Their progress is measured through a combination of written exams, practical assignments, and major project submissions. This structure gives them great flexibility, as they can choose to add an extra year to their degree to work in the industry or go study abroad at one of the partner universities.
