BSc Computer Games Design
Course overview
The Staffordshire University Computer Games Design programme focuses on the creative and theoretical parts of making games. Students learn how to build game worlds, design characters, and craft engaging stories. They also study gameplay ideas, user experience, and learn to prototype games using industry-standard tools like Unity and Unreal.
The course teaches through hands-on projects, preparing students to work in a games studio setting. Students get to develop their game concepts, from initial idea to playable prototypes. They will build a strong portfolio of their design work, which is important for showing their skills when looking for jobs in the games industry.
Entry requirements
Applicants are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying for the course and other relevant information regarding their studies. A relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to include their CV along with their applications to show their work experience.
