MSc Occupational Therapy
Course overview
This is a full-time master's degree over two years, designed to prepare students for registration as occupational therapists. Occupational therapists support individuals to overcome difficulties so they can live happy and meaningful lives. This course has been approved professionally and will develop students’ identity as confident health practitioners.
Teaching blends academic sessions with four practical placements, giving them over 1,100 hours of hands-on experience in various settings. They will learn at the purpose-built Health and Allied Professions Centre on the Clifton Campus. Performances are checked through essays, presentations, reflective accounts, and practical skill examinations like OSCEs.
Entry requirements
Candidates must submit a personal statement of 300 to 500 words, clearly stating their reasons for applying and their understanding of the occupational therapist's role. A relevant academic or employer reference is also required to support the application. Applicants whose names have been shortlisted will attend a selection interview, if invited. If they are selected, they must pass a health screening and complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
