Course overview
The MSc International Business (Single Award) programme at Nottingham Trent University is designed to enable students to have essential knowledge and understanding of the international business environment, global strategy and cross-cultural management. This 1-year programme equips students with expertise in international business practice while developing critical skills in financial theory, decision-making, and strategy development, enhancing their employability.
The course helps students understand the principles and practices of business management, enabling them to make high-quality decisions and improve international business relations on a global scale. The programme also allows students the option to undertake a work placement, enabling them to apply their learning to real-world scenarios while developing fundamental skills essential for future global business leaders.
Entry requirements
Applicants must submit a personal statement highlighting their interest in the programme, along with letters of recommendation and academic transcripts.
A relevant academic/employer reference may also be required. Students have the option to upload their CV along with their application to demonstrate their work experience in a business or management role.
Grade Requirements:

A second-class (2:1) honours degree or equivalent, or a comparable professional qualification, and ideally a minimum of two years of management/supervisory experience.
English Proficiency:
Non-native English speakers may need to demonstrate proficiency in the language, typically through an IELTS overall score of at least 6.0 (or a 5.5 in each section). Alternative qualifications, such as the TOEFL or PTE tests, are accepted.
