BSc Forensic Science

Course Overview

The BSc Forensic Science course prepares students with a solid foundation in the scientific principles that support forensic science, including chemistry, molecular and cell biology, and genetics. Students will learn through experiments and solving real problems that will build their analytical skills.

The programme will teach students to approach crime scenes fairly, with a technical perspective and to confidently present their findings in a court of law. Experiments are an important part of the programme, with practical laboratory sessions done in the university's advanced Science Centre.

Students will practice biological and chemical procedures with techniques such as interpreting blood patterns, processing crime scenes, and identifying firearms. They will learn from experts in the field through guest lectures helping them gain current knowledge in the industry and opportunities to build connections.

  • Candidates need an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in all sections.
  • Other English language test scores, such as PTE Academic and TOEFL IBT, are accepted, to name a few.
