MSc Forensic Psychology

Course Overview

The MSc Forensic Psychology at Kingston University is a course that connects psychology with the legal system. It’s designed for students who want to become forensic psychologists, working in places like prisons, courts, or mental health services. The course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), which means it’s recognised worldwide. It’s perfect for graduates with a psychology degree or those with a non-psychology background who want to switch to this field.

At Kingston University, the MSc Forensic Psychology will give you opportunities to learn about criminal behaviour, mental health and the law, and how to carry out psychological assessments. You’ll also get to do a work placement in settings like hospitals, children’s homes, or youth offending teams. This hands-on experience helps you apply what you learn and makes you more employable.

The course also teaches you how to interview suspects and witnesses and how to conduct your research project. These skills will prepare you for work in many areas, including law enforcement, rehabilitation centres, or mental health services.
