BMid Midwifery with Registered Midwife

Course Overview

This course prepares students for a career as a professional midwife. It provides the scientific knowledge, practical skills, and compassionate care techniques necessary to support women and their families through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. The programme leads to eligibility for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

In this course, you will learn through lectures and clinical placements in hospitals and other community settings. You will also get to practice in Kingston University's modern, simulated learning spaces. These spaces look and feel like real-world environments, giving students a safe place to practice their skills before they start their career.

Entry Requirements for Indian Students

Applicants applying for this course need to submit a personal statement, a relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required, and their CV along with their application to demonstrate their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

  • You need to have a minimum of 120-128 UCAS points from A Levels at grades ABB, BTEC with grades DDM, or an Access to HE Diploma in a related subject.
  • The university also accepts international qualifications that are equivalent to A-Levels.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds must score 6.0 overall in the IELTS, with a minimum of 5.5 in all four components or equivalents like TOEFL and PTE.

Cost of Study

International students pay £18,800 in Year 1, as tuition for the BMid Midwifery with Registered Midwife at Kingston University.

Scholarships

Students on this course may be eligible for a non-repayable NHS Training Grant of at least £5,000 per year, subject to eligibility criteria. Additional funding may also be available for childcare, exceptional hardship, and travel and accommodation costs for clinical placements.
