MSci Paramedic Science - Integrated Masters

Course Overview

The MSci Paramedic Science with Integrated Masters programme at Keele University is a programme that runs for four years and is at the centre of paramedic education in the UK. The programme equips students with skills and knowledge needed to work in the modern and growing world of emergency, urgent, primary, and community-based care. 

The coursework fits into the four pillars of advanced paramedic practice which are, clinical, leadership, education, and research. Approximately 50% of students' time on the course will be spent on clinical placements with the West Midlands Ambulance Service University, NHS Foundation Trust and other healthcare providers. 

Students will gain practical experience in different settings, including emergency departments, hospitals, and walk-in centres using state-of-the-art facilities such as a training ambulance and simulation houses to provide real learning experiences.

Entry Requirements for Indian Students

Candidates are to submit a personal statement where they discuss their reasons for applying for the course and other relevant information regarding their studies, a relevant academic and/or employer reference and their CVs along with their applications to show their work experience. Finally, A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) and health check are also required.

Grade Requirements

  • Applicants need ABB in three A-levels, which must include a B in one science subject.
  • A Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma with a grade of DDM in Applied Science or Health and Social Care is also accepted. 
  • A grade 4 or C in GCSE Maths 

English Proficiency 

  • Keele University accepts a grade 4 or C in GCSE English Language.
  • Applicants need to score at least 6.0 overall in the IELTS (Academic) test, with a minimum of 5.5 in each section.
  • Other English language test scores such as PTE and TOEFL IBT are accepted, amongst others.

Cost of Study

The annual tuition fee for the MSci Paramedic Science with Integrated Masters programme at Keele University for the academic year is £24,900.

Scholarships

Keele University offers a variety of scholarships, bursaries, and financial aid options. Students on this specific course are eligible for a £5,000 non-repayable annual grant to support their studies. The Keele UG Global Scholarship, which provides a £5,000 tuition fee discount for the first year, students who achieve a weighted average mark of 70% or more in their first year will have the £5,000 discount renewed for other years and will also receive an automatic £2,000 payment towards their second year tuition fees. The Advanced Entry Scholarship offers a £3,000 tuition fee discount for international students entering halfway through their degree, while the International Baccalaureate Global Scholarship provides a £1,000 tuition fee discount for eligible students. The Article 26 Sanctuary Scholarships offer a full tuition fee waiver for up to four years, with a cash award for living costs, requiring a separate application. Finally, Students also benefit from an Early Payment Discount of £500 for paying full tuition fees by a specific deadline.
