MSci Architectural Design and Technology

This Master of Science programme in Architectural Design and Technology prepares students for careers in architectural firms by equipping them with practical and technical skills. It provides a strong foundation in building technologies, creative design, and contextual study. The course is designed to meet the demands of the modern industry and to help students apply their knowledge to real-world projects.

After completing the course, graduates are well-prepared for jobs in the industry. For example, some have gone on to work for reputable companies such as Harrison Design Company and Kendrick Homes. The programme can also help students get ready for further studies in Parts 2 and 3 of architecture, which are required for professional registration as an architect.

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying for the course and other relevant information regarding their studies. Grade Requirements:

• Applicants need at least a second-class undergraduate degree.
• While a degree in a related field is preferred, a different degree may be acceptable if the student has enough relevant work experience in architecture or a related area.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need to score an overall of 6.5 in IELTS, with at least 5.5 in each section, or submit equivalent test scores.

The tuition fee for the MSc Architectural Design and Technology course for international students is £19,850 per year.

Coventry University has a number of scholarships and discounts for postgraduate students. These include the Vice-Chancellor Postgraduate Scholarship, which gives international students a £2,500 scholarship for specific start dates. All graduates of Coventry University can get a 25% discount on their course fees with the Alumni Discount. The university also has an EU Support Bursary that makes tuition fees for eligible EU students the same as for students from the UK. In addition, there are a limited number of Sports Scholarships for students who are highly skilled in sports.
