LLM SQE 1 and 2

This postgraduate course, the LLM SQE 1 and 2, is for individuals who wish to become solicitors by taking the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE). The programme combines preparation for SQE1 (covering legal knowledge) and SQE2 (covering practical legal skills) with a Master's qualification. It provides a way to enter legal practice in England and Wales.

The course has three main parts: preparation for SQE1, training for SQE2, and a module called 'Essentials for Practice'. Students can complete the course full-time over 12 months or part-time over 24 months. Study options include learning online or attending BPP campuses. Learning involves digital learning platforms, tutor assistance, and practice scenarios. Assessments are designed to reflect the SQE examinations. These include multiple-choice tests for SQE1 preparation, skills portfolios and reflective statements for SQE2, and written assignments for the academic part of the course.

Grade Requirements

• Applicants need a 2:2 honours law degree that covers seven key areas: Criminal Law, Equity and Trusts, EU Law, Contract, Tort, Property/Land Law, and Public Law.
• Instead, a 2:2 Honours degree in any subject other than law (or an equivalent qualification from outside the UK) is also acceptable.
• If you have a non-law degree, you can also be considered if you achieve 50% or more on an admissions test from BPP University Law School, which assesses knowledge of those core legal areas.

English Proficiency

• International students will need an IELTS score of 6.5 overall, with no lower than 6.0 in each section. 
• Other equivalent English language qualifications, such as the PTE, TOEFL, or SELT, are also accepted.

If you're an international student considering the LLM SQE 1 and 2 at BPP University, your tuition fee will differ based on the campus. The cost for the London Central (Holborn) campus is £16,700, whereas the fee for the Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Leeds, Manchester, and online learning is £14,200.
