BSc Business Information Technology with a Foundation Year
Course overview
The Bachelor of Science with Honours in Business Information Technology, which includes a foundation year, at Birmingham City University, is a four-year programme that combines IT skills with a solid understanding of business. The foundation year gives students a grounding in basic computing, mathematics, and digital technology. This helps everyone move smoothly onto the main part of the degree.
During the main part of the course, you'll study topics such as how businesses use technology, the changes happening with digital technology, and the IT systems big companies use. You'll also have chances to get some real work experience through projects with businesses, the option to do a work placement, and opportunities to show off new ideas at events like the university's Innovation Fest.
You'll learn through talks, practical sessions, and working together on group projects. The assessment of your learning primarily occurs through coursework, which involves writing reports, delivering presentations, and completing projects.
