LLB Criminal Law

Bangor University

Course overview

This LLB Criminal Law at Bangor University is designed to give students a detailed knowledge of the criminal justice system and to prepare them for a legal job dealing with crime. Students will study all types of crime, including shoplifting, murder, and robbery. They will learn more about the UK's justice system by going on visits to courts and listening to guest speakers.

Learning involves attending lectures, taking part in tutorials and group work, and getting one-to-one help from your lecturers. Students will study using real-life legal problems and practice in mock trials (called mooting). Their final grades depend on showing practical skills like legal research, speaking in a court-like setting, and writing legal documents needed to become a solicitor or barrister.
