For the first two years, teaching happens one day and one evening per week at a partner college (like Grŵp Llandrillo Menai or Coleg Cambria, depending on location). In the final year, you move to Bangor University for classes.

 

The course is delivered through interactive lectures, tutorials, and workshops. There will also be presentations by guest speakers. You will be assessed through a variety of methods, such as practical and theoretical assignments, reports, oral presentations, project work, portfolios, and team-based assignments.  

Entry requirements

To apply, submit a personal statement on why data interests you, backed by details of your academic background. A reference from a teacher or employer is also required, and a CV showcasing relevant experience

Grade Requirements:

  • You will need 112-136 UCAS points at an A Level qualification or equivalent. 

  • Equivalent international qualifications are accepted. 

  • If you have any work experience in the field, that counts too.

English Proficiency:

  • If English is not your first language, show proficiency with IELTS 6.0 overall (no less than 5.5 in any band)

  • Equivalent test scores, such as TOEFL or PTE, are also accepted

  • Alumni Scholarship

    £1,000 in addition to any other international scholarship awarded by Bangor University, UK (excluding the Vice-Chancellor scholarship), awarded for each year of study.

    Undergraduate: £6,000 (per year of study); Postgraduate: £6,000.

  • International Scholarships

    Undergraduate: £4,000 minimum (per year of study); Postgraduate: £6,000.

  • Start-Up Bursaries

    Start Up Bursaries of £1,000 are available to those students (aged under 25) entering the University from care.
