Application Timeline for September 2027 Intake

Your step-by-step journey to studying in the UK

  1. 1

When should I start preparing my university application?

    August – October 2026

    Preparation

    • Research UK Universities: Visit your local AHZ office to find the best available courses for your future goals. Our counsellors will be able to provide you with a shortlist of recommended universities and courses, alongside any available scholarships.
    • English Language Proficiency Tests: You’ll also need to start preparing for any IELTS, PTE, or TOEFL qualifications, if required. Our staff will be able to advise on how best to do this.
  2. 2

How and when do I submit my application?

    October 2026 – January 2027

    The Application Window

    • Undergraduate (UCAS) Submissions: You’ll typically need to apply through UCAS. Our counsellors will be able to walk you through this process step by step.
    • Postgraduate Direct Applications: AHZ staff are available to help you apply directly through your chosen university’s individual portal.
    • Statement of Purpose (SOP): You will then need to write your SOP, explain your academic background, career goals and your reasons for choosing the programme.
    • Recommendation Letters: Request this from your previous professors or employers. This helps universities understand your academic abilities, character, and potential for success.
  3. 3

What happens after I receive a university offer?

    February – May 2027

    Evaluation & Acceptance

    • Reviewing Offers: Evaluate and compare options with AHZ’s trained counsellors and then make an informed decision about which offer you’d like to accept.
    • Securing Your Seat: After selecting your preferred institution, you can accept your offer and pay the tuition deposit to confirm your place at the university.
    • Requesting your CAS: As soon as conditions are met and the deposit is paid, you should be able to obtain your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies).
  4. 4

What are the UK student visa and financial requirements?

    June – August 2027

    Visa & Finance

    • The 28-Day Rule: Maintain required funds (tuition + maintenance) in your bank account for 28 consecutive days.
