PhD International Business
Course overview
The PhD in International Business at the University of Strathclyde, London, is a doctoral degree that teaches students, who already work in the business sector, the current practices which they can apply in their respective positions. This course is practical, so students do research on business-related topics during their course of study.

Entry requirements
Candidates must submit a research proposal to show the area they want to specialise in and how it aligns with the research interests in the Institute. They must also provide evidence of the ability to undertake independent research. Additionally, applicants must add a CV, cover letter, and other documents demonstrating their motivation to pursue this degree.
Grade Requirements:
- Applicants require a first-class or second-class upper UK honours degree or international equivalent in a business or social science subject.
- Candidates may also need to hold a Master’s degree; however, this is not mandatory, as there are sometimes exceptions.
English Proficiency:
- International students require an IELTS overall score of 6.5, with no score below 5.5.
