Course Overview

The MSc Renewable Energy & Decarbonisation Technologies is a 12-month course from the University of Strathclyde's Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering. This programme prepares students for the challenges and opportunities in a world shifting towards sustainability and a low-carbon economy. Students will learn about the latest technologies to reduce carbon emissions, including hydrogen energy, carbon capture, and smart grids.

The teaching process includes in-person and online lectures, tutorials, and practical lab sessions. The course offers compulsory and optional modules, with assessments through coursework, exams, and a final MSc project. Entry Requirements for Egyptian Students

Candidates need to submit a personal statement and relevant information regarding their studies, an academic and/or employer reference, and their CVs to show their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

  • Candidates need a first-class or second-class degree or an international equivalent degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field.

English Proficiency:

  • Candidates need an overall score of 6.5 in the IELTS Academic test, with no score below 5.5.
  • Other English language test scores, such as PTE Academic and TOEFL IBT, are accepted, amongst others.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee for the MSc Renewable Energy & Decarbonisation Technologies at the University of Strathclyde for international students is £31,100, which is subject to change yearly.

Scholarships

The University of Strathclyde offers various scholarships to international students who excel academically. These scholarships can reduce the financial burden of pursuing a master's degree.
