MEng Civil Engineering

Course Overview

The MEng Civil Engineering at the University of Strathclyde is a five-year course. Entry Requirements for Egyptian Students

For international students to take this course, they need to submit their school certificates or transcripts. They also need to submit a passport and a personal statement.

Grade Requirements:

  • International applicants should have a high school or secondary school certificate (or the equivalent of Scottish Highers). This certificate should include at least four A's and one B, or two A's and three B's. This is the standard requirement and must include Maths and one science subject. The minimum certificate accepted is five B's.
  • For those with an A-level certificate (or its equivalent), the minimum to start year one is three B's. To start in year two, applicants should have at least two A's and one B in Maths and one science subject.
  • For applicants with the International Baccalaureate (IB), the total score should be between 36 and 32 points. This must include Maths and one science subject at Higher Level 5.

English Proficiency:

  • People from non-English speaking countries or whose first language is not English will show proof of English language ability. They need at least a 6.0 overall score in IELTS.
  • Those who do not meet the IELTS requirements can take the English Language Course from the university.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee for international students to study this course is £29,350 every year. The fee can be reviewed every year by the university.

Scholarships

There are scholarships and funding to help international students studying MEng Civil Engineering. Some of these fundings are to cover a part of the tuition, while others are to help with other expenses like cost of living and learning equipment.
