University of Strathclyde

Course overview

The LLB Law degree at the University of Strathclyde is taught by one of the best law schools in Scotland. When you study law, you learn about the duties and rights of every person in society. This course will prepare you to become a practising lawyer in Scotland because it meets the rules of the main legal bodies. The degree usually takes four years. You will study core subjects that every lawyer needs, but you will also learn about newer areas like human rights law, competition law, and housing law.

You will get practical experience in different ways. The school has Scotland’s biggest student-run Law Clinic, where you can work on real cases. You will also use Ardcalloch, which is a community where you can practice solving everyday legal problems. In your final year, instead of formal lectures, you will have seminars, and you will write a long final research paper. Studying LLB Law from the University of Strathclyde provides a solid and broad foundation for your future legal career.
