BA Psychology Human Resource Management
Course overview
The BA Hons Psychology and Human Resource Management at the University of Strathclyde combines the study of mind and behaviour with how people are managed in organisations. Students learn about psychology, mental health, motivation, and how Human Resource practices work, including hiring, training, and performance. The course helps students understand both individual behaviour and workplace systems. Graduates will possess skills in research, communication, and people management that can be applied in various fields. This degree is four years long under the Scottish system.
In the final semester, students choose optional modules and complete a major project or dissertation that links psychology and HR. This project allows students to apply their learning to real-world issues. Teaching includes lectures, seminars, workshops, group tasks, case studies, and HR simulations. Students will gather data, run small research projects, and take part in role-plays. Assessment includes essays, reports, exams, data projects, presentations and the dissertation, with continuous feedback for improvement.

- Applicants should hold strong high school qualifications (such as A-Levels, Scottish Highers or equivalents), including subjects like psychology, business, maths or social science.
English Proficiency
- For international students, a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 overall with no component below 5.5 is required.
