BSc Data Science with Artificial Intelligence
Course overview
The BSc Data Science with Artificial Intelligence is a four-year programme that provides the necessary practical computing skills needed to succeed in a data-driven future. The course has an emphasis on using Artificial Intelligence techniques to take out meaning from data, including the use of Machine Learning.
Students learn how to store, manage, analyse, and present data insights using visualisation tools. The teaching places emphasis on practical computing skills, with most subjects including practical lab sessions. Assessment involves a written assignment, an essay, a report, a portfolio, examinations, project outputs, and a final project/dissertation in the final year. Optional paid placements and study abroad opportunities are also available to build students’ professional skills.
Entry requirements
Candidates need to submit a personal statement and relevant information regarding their studies, an academic and/or employer reference, and their CV to show their work experience.
Grade Requirements:
- Candidates need a CCC in A-level and two passes that include Maths and English at GCSE grade 5 if they do not hold an A-level or equivalent.
- Other International qualifications equivalent to an A-level are also accepted.
English Proficiency:
- Candidates need an overall score of 6.0 in the IELTS Academic test, with no component less than 5.5.
- Other English language test scores, such as PTE Academic and TOEFL IBT, are accepted, amongst others.
