  • English Proficiency: If your Sri Lankan O-Level English grade is below a 'C', you should register for the IELTS or PTE exam.
  • Academic Document Gathering: Collect your academic transcripts and certificates, including Sri Lankan or London A-Level transcripts, from your college in advance.
  • Drafting Your Personal Statement: You then need to write a statement on why you’re a great fit for your course and make use of AHZ’s specialised resources to help your statement stand out.

How and when do I submit my application?

October 2025 – January 2026

  • Undergraduate (UCAS) Applications: Submit your undergraduate applications directly through the official UCAS portal.
  • Postgraduate Applications: AHZ staff can help you apply directly to university portals early to secure scholarships.

What happens after I receive a university offer?

February – May 2026

Evaluation & Acceptance

  • Interview Prep & Spot Assessments: Attend AHZ spot assessment days in Sri Lanka to meet university representatives and receive coaching.
  • Securing Your Seat: Once you make a choice, pay the tuition deposit of between £2,000 and £5,000 to confirm your place.
  • Requesting your CAS: After meeting your conditions, the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) will be issued for your visa.

What are the UK student visa and financial requirements?

June – August 2026

Visa & Finance

  • The 28-Day Rule: Your tuition and one year of living costs must be in a Sri Lankan bank for at least 28 consecutive days.
  • Medical Requirements: Book and attend a mandatory TB test at the UKVI-approved clinic located in Colombo.
  • Visa Submission: Complete your online application and visit the VFS Global centre to provide your fingerprints and photo.
