Course overview
The BA (Hons) Advertising and Design course covers core practice-based modules that include developing advertising campaigns, computer skills, creative portfolios, branding, and identity. The knowledge and skills you'll gain will put you on a fast track to a rewarding career in advertising and design. This is a hands-on degree and you'll be encouraged to work in pairs, as this is how the industry recruits.
Forging relationships during the course is great preparation for the workplace and helps to maximise creativity. During your final year, you'll develop a Professional Engagement Document which highlights all your self-development activities and engagement with industry, as well as other factors that will give you an edge compared to other graduates. Douglas Clasper Elite Sports Scholarship
The scholarship will award the following in each year of study (based on academic progression): £2,000 cash payment; a tuition fee discount of 20%; a 20% discount on university-managed accommodation.
East Durham College Partnership Award
This award provides a £1,500 cash award in each year of study, helping you access higher education with greater ease.

This award provides £500 cash in your first year of study to assist with transport expenses, helping students access higher education with greater ease.
