BSc Paramedic Science

The BSc Paramedic Science programme prepares students for a rewarding career as a paramedic, providing emergency care in pre-hospital environments. The course aims to develop paramedics who can make sound clinical decisions, demonstrate leadership, and deliver high-quality patient care. It is accredited and delivered in partnership with the East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST).

Teaching follows a ‘block and blend’ approach at the Ipswich campus, combining academic learning with hands-on experience in the state-of-the-art simulation facilities within the Health and Wellbeing Building. Assessments vary by module and include written assignments, examinations, Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs), and Practice Assessment Documents.

Grade Requirements

• 112 UCAS tariff points including A-levels, BTEC or equivalent qualifications.
• Other international qualifications equivalent to A-levels are also accepted.
• GCSE English, Mathematics, and a Science subject at grade 4/C or above.

English Proficiency

• IELTS: Overall score of 7.0, with no component below 6.5.
• PTE Academic, Cambridge Assessment English, and TOEFL iBT are also accepted.

The international tuition fee for the BSc Paramedic Science programme at the University of Suffolk is £15,690 per year. Please note that tuition fees are subject to annual review and change.
