BSc Diagnostic Radiography

This course will help to prepare you with the knowledge and skills that are needed to qualify and become registered diagnostic radiographers. Radiographers are important in the healthcare sector, and they create images of high quality using technology such as X-ray, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound to diagnose and monitor injuries and diseases.

The course involves a block and blend structure of learning that combines lectures and tutorials with much practical experience. Practice placement accounts for about 60% of the course in regional NHS partner hospitals. Assessment strategies employ various approaches, such as exams, case studies, research projects, and Practice Assessment Documents (PADs), which ensure that graduates are ready to deliver safe, quality patient care with the NHS values as a foundation.

Any offer of a place is conditional upon a successful interview, a satisfactory Health check, and a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of the radiographer's role and the significance of the NHS Constitution and values.

Grade Requirements:

• To be enrolled, you need a minimum of 112 UCAS tariff points (or above), equivalent to BBC at A-Level, DMM at BTEC, or Merit at T-Level.
• Other international qualifications equivalent to A-Levels are accepted.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants whose first language is not English are required to achieve an IELTS score of 7.0 overall, or submit equivalent acceptable test scores.

The annual tuition fee for international students on the BSc Diagnostic Radiography at the University of Suffolk is £15,690.
