MSc Technical Ship Management

The MSc Technical Ship Management degree equips graduate engineers and qualified sea personnel with the knowledge for effective and efficient administration of ships and fleets. The programme is accredited by RINA and IMarEST.

The programme focuses on areas that are important for managing ships, including naval architecture and ocean and marine engineering. The course allows students to have a good understanding of several topics relevant to the maritime industry.

The programme includes instructional modules, individual projects, and a group project where students work on real engineering problems for a panel of industry experts. The course will be taught through lectures, tutorials, and lab experiments, and assessments include coursework (30-40%) and formal examinations (60-70%).

Candidates need to submit a personal statement and relevant information regarding their studies, an academic and/or employer reference, and their CVs to show their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

• Candidates need a first-class or second-class undergraduate honours degree or an international equivalent degree in any subject.

English Proficiency:

• Candidates should submit an overall score of 6.5 in the IELTS test, with a minimum of 5.5 in each section.
• PTE Academic, Cambridge, and TOEFL IBT are also accepted.
