BEng Chemical Engineering

The BEng Chemical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde is a 4-year course. It can be studied on campus or online through distance learning (seven years part-time). The programme gives students the skills and knowledge needed to become chemical engineers. The programme is accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE). Grade Requirements:

• The standard requirement for this course is an A in Maths and two other subjects, and a B in Chemistry in your final high school or secondary school exams (called Highers in Scotland).
• For those with A-level (or its equivalent in your country), you will need at least a B in Maths, Chemistry or Physics, and one other subject to start year one, and an A in Maths, A or B in Chemistry or Physics, and any other subject to start year two.

English Proficiency:

• International applicants are expected to show proof of ability in English. For this course, the university accepts at least a 6.0 overall score in IELTS.
• The university also offers English Language Teaching courses for international students who do not have IELTS or who do not meet the requirements.

The tuition fee for international students studying BEng Chemical Engineering at Strathclyde is £29,350. This fee may change every year.
