MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering

University of Lincoln

Course overview

The University of Lincoln MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a four-year integrated Master’s degree. It starts with basic circuits, electronics, and programming, then moves to advanced topics like renewable energy, smart grids, robotics, and embedded systems. The course gives you a full Master’s qualification that employers value in the workplace.

Teaching is very practical. Lessons include lectures, tutorials, lab sessions, and group work. The university has modern electronics labs, a robotics arena, power systems labs, and professional software (MATLAB, Multisim, Altium Designer).

Assessment combines exams, lab reports, coursework, practical tests, group projects, presentations, and posters. The final-year MEng project is a major work, often on topics such as electric vehicle systems or autonomous robots. The programme is fully accredited by the IET, so graduates meet all academic requirements to become a Chartered Engineer (CEng) without extra study.
