BSc Economics and Management with a Foundation Year

Course Overview

The BSc Economics and Management with a Foundation Year from the University of Kent is designed to enable students to combine two core areas of business, economics and management, in order to gain the skills and knowledge essential for managing key areas of organisations and developing an understanding of economic processes and practices.

The Foundation Year serves as a pathway for students who wish to pursue a full honours degree but do not meet the direct entry requirement. The programme offers the opportunity to explore fundamental economic theories while providing a strong foundation in business principles, leadership, and organisational strategies. It also enhances students’ analytical and problem-solving skills.

Throughout the BSc Economics and Management with a Foundation Year degree, students discover how economists and business leaders think and learn to use and apply the tools that economists have developed for financial and money markets. This enables them to analyse real-world economic problems effectively.
