BEng Biomedical Engineering with a Foundation Year

University of Kent

Course overview

The BEng Biomedical Engineering with a Foundation Year at the University of Kent is a multidisciplinary programme intended for students who are equally interested in engineering and biology/medicine. This degree, which draws on the university's established expertise in engineering technologies and research synergies with the School of Biosciences, produces engineers with a solid understanding of biology and medical sciences.

Engineers capable of designing complete solutions involving complex integrated systems are required in business and research settings. Kent's Biomedical Engineering program prepares engineers to develop systems for medical practice and biology research. If you do not have the necessary grades to enrol directly into the BEng (Hons) Biomedical Engineering degree, you can begin your studies with a Foundation year. The extra year is designed to give you the best possible preparation for success on the degree path.
