LLM International and Commercial Law
Course overview
The LLM International and Commercial Law at the University of Buckingham is designed to develop students into specialists in international and commercial legal practice. The programme provides a strong understanding of core commercial law principles while exploring legal systems and regulatory frameworks across different jurisdictions. Teaching places a strong emphasis on interaction and discussion between students and academic staff, encouraging critical thinking and in-depth legal analysis.
On completion of the course, students gain advanced skills in legal research, persuasive legal writing, and analysing complex legal cases. Assessment is carried out through a combination of written coursework, essays, and a compulsory dissertation. Students can tailor their studies by selecting specialist modules in areas such as Corporate Law or International Trade and Maritime Law.
