BSc Forensic Science including foundation year

Course Overview

London Metropolitan University’s BSc Forensic Science (including foundation year) runs for four years. It is a degree for those who do not meet the qualifications for the main degree. The foundation year will teach these students the basics in scientific subjects such as chemistry, molecular and cell biology, and genetics.

The course builds important academic and practical skills that prepare students for the next three years of the main degree. These analytical skills are built through problem-solving exercises and experiments in the university's Science Centre.

The course allows students to learn about different ways to apply bio-analysis, including DNA profiling, fingerprints, and drug analysis. The programme trains forensic scientists to investigate crimes fairly and defend their findings in court.
