BA Business Management including foundation year

The BA Business Management (with a foundation year) at London Metropolitan University is suitable for students who may not have standard qualifications but still want to earn a business degree. The foundation year serves as a pathway into higher education. It helps students gain confidence and learn relevant academic skills before they continue into the full undergraduate programme.

Throughout the course, students will interact with several modules, including Financial Accounting, Organisation Design and Management, International Selling and Negotiation, and The Practice of Management. Assessments include reports, business plans, presentations, and exams.

Additionally, this course is accredited at Level 5 by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), which means that graduates will receive a CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership. Students also have the opportunity to study abroad for one semester, which can improve their CV and offer valuable life experiences.

Grade Requirements:

• A minimum of 96 UCAS points from level 3 qualifications is required for applicants. 
• This can be obtained through three A Levels with at least CCC grades, BTECs, or equivalent international qualifications.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants whose first language is not English should have a total IELTS score of at least 6.0, with no skill section lower than 5.5. 
• Scores from other tests like TOEFL IBT, PTE Academic, and Cambridge Advanced English are also accepted.

For the 2025/26 academic year, international students in the London Metropolitan University BA Business Management (including foundation year) programme will pay £19,500 for tuition per year. Please keep in mind that this rate may still be updated.

London Metropolitan University provides several scholarships to help international students. One of these is the International Bright Futures Scholarship. This scholarship offers a £3,000 reduction in tuition fees for students studying full-time at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.

Another option is the Sanctuary Scholarship, created for students who face barriers to securing higher education funding due to their immigration status. This scholarship covers the full tuition fees and also gives a maintenance grant of up to £13,762 for each academic year.

The university also offers the £2,500 Elite Scholarship for students from certain countries, as well as Chevening Scholarships for students pursuing full-time Master’s degrees.
