Course Overview

With the MSc Sensors, Data, and Management at Liverpool John Moores University, students gain the knowledge, skills, and industrial exposure required to succeed in sensor and data-driven engineering careers.

In this course, students will study aspects such as dynamic systems simulation, sensor networks and data, advanced programming, and research methodologies. Additionally, they will complete an MSc dissertation. All these will equip students with both the technical expertise needed to work in specialised engineering fields.

Teaching and learning for this 1-year full-time programme combine lectures, tutorials, and seminars, with activity-based learning, group discussions, and panel sessions, all with a supportive approach. Assessment comes mainly in the form of coursework, such as written reports, reflective pieces, coding tasks and presentations delivered to industry representatives addressing industrial challenges.

Liverpool John Moores University was established in Liverpool, United Kingdom, in 1823 and became a university in 1992. Through its five faculties, it offers graduate, undergraduate, and research programmes. Notably, these programmes have accreditation from professional organisations like the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

Entry Requirements for Pakistani Students

Here are the standard entry requirements to study MSc Sensors, Data and Management at Liverpool John Moores University:

Grade Requirements:

  • To apply, individuals need a minimum 2:2 BEng degree in Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Instead, candidates may submit a minimum 2:2 Honours degree in Mathematics or a physical science, together with relevant experience in an engineering field or Sensors and Data Analytics.

English Proficiency:

  • Non-native English speakers may need to demonstrate proficiency in the language, typically through an IELTS score of at least 6.0. TOEFL or other equivalents are also allowed.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee for the 2025/2026 session to study MSc Sensors, Data and Management at Liverpool John Moores University is £18,250.

However, this does not cover the placement fee (£3,830), accommodation, and other personal expenses. Also, International students must make a down payment of £5000 before they get a CAS.

Scholarships
