BA Sport Business
Course overview
Liverpool John Moores University’s BA (Hons) Sports Business is a three-year programme that combines theory with application to prepare students for careers in the sports industry. This course looks at topics such as how sports are promoted, online media in sports, starting your own sports business, getting sponsorship, and the legal aspects of sport. It focuses on the business side of sports, from local clubs up to professional leagues.
Students gain experience through projects with major sports organisations, including the Premier League heavyweights like Liverpool FC and Everton FC. The programme also focuses on employability through work placements, internships and live client briefs through the Liverpool Business Clinic, giving students the chance to apply their knowledge in practical settings.
During this course, students learn through lectures, seminars, internships, individual support sessions, and both online and in-person activities. Their progress will also be checked through different methods, including writing reports, case studies, giving presentations, portfolios, and taking part in simulated business activities.

Grade Requirements

Candidates need between 112-128 UCAS points, with A-level grades ranging from BBC to ABB. An Access to HE Diploma of 112 UCAS points, and BTEC Level 3 grades between DMM and DMM are also considered.
English Proficiency

For international students, an IELTS overall score of 6.0 is considered. This means that in each of the different parts of the test (listening, reading, writing, and speaking), applicants should score at least 5.5.
