BA Health and Social Care

Course Overview

The Leeds Trinity University BA Health and Social Care course examines the links between health and wellbeing as well as the issues defining the healthcare field, both locally and internationally. Other key themes that you will explore will be psychological interventions, multi-agency working, management of long-term health conditions, and approaches to developing leadership in a health care setting. The programme is tailored towards making you fit to work in the growing health and social care sector.

In this course, you will learn through lectures, seminars and professional work placement, and these will form an important part of your degree. You will gain practical experience that will enable you to use what you have learnt in practice, so you can gain confidence and develop professional skills. Students’ progress is assessed through written assignments, presentations, and practical work.

Entry Requirements for Pakistani Students

Applicants are required to submit a personal statement discussing their reasons for applying and other relevant information. A relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required. Students can upload their CV to demonstrate work experience.

Grade Requirements: 

  • The university accepts several qualifications, such as A-Levels, T Levels, BTEC, and International Baccalaureate. International qualifications that are equivalent to A-levels are also accepted.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need to have an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no component less than 5.5, or an equivalent qualification such as PTE.

Cost of Study

The annual tuition fee for the BA Health and Social Care at Leeds Trinity University is £12,000.

Scholarships

Leeds Trinity University offers a variety of scholarships to help students with the cost of their studies. This includes the Leeds Trinity Bursary, a £500 cash award for eligible students with a household income of £25,000 or less. The university also has an Academic Achievement Award, which gives a £1,000 payment to high-achieving students with AAB at A-level or equivalent. Additionally, there are bursaries for Care Experienced students and Estranged Students.
