MPharm Pharmacy with Biopharmaceutics

MPharm Pharmacy with Biopharmaceutics at Kingston University gives you a strong foundation in pharmacy, chemistry, and the pharmaceutical sciences. In your first two years, you will study the same subjects as students on the main MPharm Pharmacy course. You will also learn about pharmacology, physiology, and drug development, and improve your skills in chemistry and maths.

In Year 3, you will join Level 5 of the MPharm Pharmacy course. At this stage, you will focus more on how science is used in real healthcare settings. You will learn how medicines work in the body, how to prescribe them safely, and the important roles pharmacists play in hospitals, community pharmacies, and the pharmaceutical industry. By Year 5, you will complete a research project and study more advanced topics such as biotechnology and pharmaceutical technology.

You will study in Kingston University’s modern pharmacy lab, where you can practise working like a real pharmacist in a safe and supportive space. This includes checking prescriptions, giving advice to patients, and solving clinical problems.

Studying the MPharm Pharmacy with Biopharmaceutics at Kingston University will help you gain hands-on experience through placements and practical sessions. These include working with patients and practising your skills in pharmacy simulations.

Grade Requirements:

• 96-112 UCAS points from a minimum of two A-levels or equivalent Level 3 qualifications such as an Access Course in an appropriate subject (with a minimum of 15 Level 3 credits at Distinction in Chemistry and Biology. is required to study this course.
• Alternatively, the BTEC Extended Diploma in Applied Science with a minimum grade of MMM is accepted.

English Proficiency: 

• International students whose first language is not English are to show proficiency in English with an IELTS overall score of 6.5, with at least 6.0 in each of the components  
• Alternative tests such as TOEFL and PTE Academic are also accepted.

For the 2026/2027 academic session, the tuition fee to study the MPharm Pharmacy with Biopharmaceutics at Kingston University is £19,200. Please note that tuition fees are subject to an annual increase.

Kingston University offers some scholarships for students from other countries. The International Scholarship is an instance of such scholarships that gives you £5,000 to help pay for your first year of courses.
