BA Interior Architecture and Design

The BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design is a four-year full-time undergraduate program that teaches students how to design functional and sustainable interior spaces, with the course is located at the Scottish Borders campus and begins in September. 

It covers topics, like sustainability, designing for people, skills in both traditional and digital techniques, materials, drawing methods, furniture design, and how to use technology to communicate ideas. Students get hands-on experience by working on real projects with well-known brands, which helps them develop practical skills and prepare for their future careers.

Students learn through lectures, tutorials, and workshops, taught by experienced professionals like architects and designers, as well as academics who are involved in research. Assessments are done mainly through coursework and a big project in the final year, with regular support and feedback. 

The program also gives students chances to have global experiences through a "Go Global" program and the option to transfer to the Dubai campus. Grade Requirements: 

• For Scottish Highers, applicants generally need BBBB. 
• For A-Levels, the requirement is BCC-BBB. An International Baccalaureate score of 29 points is often needed. 
• A BTEC Extended Diploma at DMM, an HNC with a 'C' grade, or an HND with a 'CC' grade are also considered. 

English Proficiency: 

• Applicants need an IELTS Academic score of 6.0 overall, with no individual component score below 5.5.
• TOEFL and PTE are also accepted.
• Nigerian applicants can use strong grades in WAEC (West African Examinations Council) English Language (e.g., a C6 or B3) as proof of English proficiency.

Heriot-Watt University offers different scholarships to international students, including The International Merit Scholarship is for international students starting in January or September 2025, this gives a reduction in tuition fees for the first year. The Early Confirmation Scholarship is for new international students who have an offer and pay their deposit on time.
