The MOptom (IP) Optometry with Independent Prescribing at Glasgow Caledonian University is designed to teach you the science and practice of optometry alongside the advanced skills of independent prescribing. During this programme, you will gain a deep understanding of the visual system, ocular disease, diagnostics, and pharmacological management of eye conditions. You will also learn essential clinical skills—including refraction, contact lens fitting, binocular vision, and Ocular Pharmacology—to prepare you for comprehensive eye-care delivery.

• As an applicant, you need a UCAS Tariff point of 135 with A levels at BBB minimum, to include 2 from Maths, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology.
