DPsych Sports and Exercise Psychology

Course Overview

The DPsych Sport and Exercise Psychology is the only programme of its kind in Scotland, with a strong focus on developing therapeutic skills, interdisciplinary learning, teaching, and research. The course is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), making graduates eligible to apply for registration and Chartership as a Sport and Exercise Psychologist.

Entry Requirements for Pakistani Students

  • Candidates are to hold at least a 2:1 honours undergraduate degree in Psychology that meets the British Psychological Society (BPS) standards for the Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC).
  • Candidates with relevant work experience or credits from recognised professional bodies may be considered through the University's Recognition of Prior Learning scheme.

English Proficiency:

  • For applicants whose first language is not English, an overall score of 7.0 in the IELTS examination is required, with no individual component score falling below 6.5.

Cost of Study

For international students, the annual full-time tuition fee for the DPsych Sport and Exercise Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University is £16,200. Note that the fees are subject to increase, typically by up to 5%.
