BSc Occupational Therapy

Course Overview

BSc Occupational Therapy at Glasgow Caledonian University helps you learn how to support people of all ages with their daily activities, so they can live better and reach their personal goals. You will be trained to work in many places, such as hospitals, schools, and community centres.

This is a practical course, so you will go on work placements where you learn from professional occupational therapists. You will also study with students from other health and social care courses. This will help you improve your teamwork and communication skills, which are important for your future career.

Over four years, you will study subjects such as how the human body works, professional behaviour, occupational science, and how to create inclusive spaces. You will also do a research project in your final year to show what you have learned.

By studying BSc Occupational Therapy at Glasgow Caledonian University, you can apply to join the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) when you graduate.
