BSc Psychology with Sport Management

Course Overview

De Montfort University’s BSc Psychology with Sports Management is a three-year undergraduate programme that focuses on understanding human behaviour, including how situations guide reactions and tolerance. This course teaches students about the human mind, what drives individuals to behave in certain ways, and how some principles relate to sport management.

During this programme, students are introduced to the business of sport, including how to manage players, technical staff, analyse patterns in sport, and ensure welfare. They also gain a grounding in biological, developmental, experimental, and cognitive psychology, while polishing their skills in sports operations, events, and administration. Additionally, the course is accredited by the British Psychological Society and provides graduates with work placements and international study.

Learning is delivered through lectures, seminars, workshops, labs, and tutorials, with independent study expected each week. Assessment methods include essays, exams, presentations, and a final-year dissertation.
