Course Overview

The BSc (Hons) Computer Games Programming degree at De Montfort University helps students develop the skills they need for a career in the games industry. Entry Requirements for Pakistani Students

Applicants are required to submit a personal statement, academic or employer reference, and a detailed research proposal, with an optional CV, to show their suitability for the course.

Grade Requirements: 

  • Applicants need a UCAS Tariff of 112 points, usually from at least two A-levels. 
  • Applicants need five GCSEs at grade 4 (equivalent to a Grade C) or above, including English and Mathematics. 
  • Other qualifications are also considered, such as a Pass in a QAA-accredited Access to HE Diploma, or an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme with 26 points. 
  • A Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma at DMM in a relevant subject is also accepted.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants need an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each individual component (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) is essential. 
  • PTE and TOEFL are also accepted.  

Cost of Study

For the BSc Computer Games Programming programme, the tuition fee for the September 2025 intake is £16,750 per year.

Scholarships

De Montfort University offers various scholarships for international students, including the Global Access Scholarship, Global Partnerships Scholarship, and faculty-specific scholarships like the Global MBA scholarship worth £3,500. The Global Access Scholarship provides a fee reduction of £2,000 per level of entry for undergraduate students starting in September 2025 or January 2026, with an additional £500 discount possible for early payment. Global Partnerships Scholarship rewards students transferring from partner institutions with a fee reduction or full tuition fee scholarship for one year.
