MSc Applied Artificial Intelligence

Course Overview

The MSc in Applied Artificial Intelligence at Cranfield University is designed for graduates in engineering, physics, computing, or mathematics who wish to apply advanced artificial intelligence skills to various industries, including the security, defence, marine, environmental, and aerospace sectors. The programme is available for full-time study, typically lasting one year, or part-time study over two to three years.

The curriculum covers fundamental subjects including logic and reasoning, data analytics, deep learning, agent architectures, systems engineering, and ethical considerations in real-world AI implementation. Students engage in both theoretical and practical sessions, which include industry seminars, group poster sessions, laboratory experiments, and project work. 

They gain practical experience using equipment and facilities at the Aerospace Integration Research Centre and the Intelligent Mobility Engineering Centre. They must also complete eight compulsory taught modules, a group project, and an individual research project.

Entry Requirements for Pakistani Students

Applicants are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying for the course and other important information regarding their studies. Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants need at least a second-class undergraduate degree in fields like engineering, physics, computing, or mathematics.
  • A different degree will be accepted if the student has enough relevant work experience in a related technical or analytical field.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need to score 6.5 overall in IELTS Academic with 5.5 in each section. 
  • Equivalent test scores like TOEFL and PTE, are also accepted.

Cost of Study

Interested international students will pay an annual tuition fee of £27,910 to study MSc Applied Artificial Intelligence at Cranfield University.

Scholarships

Cranfield University has a School of Management that offers the Cranfield Merit Scholarship to international students studying full-time postgraduate programmes in different courses. This scholarship is a 15% tuition fee reduction for international applicants. Eligibility is based on academic performance.
