BEng Aerospace Technology

Course Overview

The BEng Aerospace Technology degree at Coventry University teaches students the practical aspects of aircraft systems, combining aerospace engineering, mechanical, and electrical modules. It prepares students for roles in aircraft design, maintenance, and operations with a strong focus on industry relevance.

Students study aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, and aircraft structures. They also have access to aircraft, flight simulators, and wind tunnels, with an option for a paid placement year in industry.

Teaching includes lectures, labs, workshops, and projects. Assessment is through examinations, coursework, essays, reports, and presentations, all of which build students’ reasoning and problem-solving skills for engineering challenges.

Entry Requirements for Pakistani Students

Grade Requirements:

  • 112–128 UCAS points.
  • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma DMM–DDM in Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, including merits in Further Engineering Mathematics or Calculus to Solve Engineering Problems.
  • International Baccalaureate: 29 points overall.

English Proficiency:

  • IELTS 6.0 overall, with no component below 5.5.
  • Equivalent scores in PTE, TOEFL, or Duolingo are also accepted.

Cost of Study

For international students, the tuition fee for the BEng Aerospace Technology programme is £19,850 per year. Students who opt for the placement year will pay an additional £1,800.

Scholarships

Coventry University provides scholarships and bursaries to international students, especially those enrolled in the BEng Aerospace Technology degree. The Vice-Chancellor Scholarship offers up to £4,000 over three years and is available to self-funded international students (excluding EU). An extra funding opportunity is available through the International CU Scholarship, where eligible international undergraduates can get up to £12,000. Furthermore, the EU Support Bursary, Alumni Discount, Sports Scholarships, and Commonwealth Scholarships offer financial assistance to international students.
