Overview
The Cardiff Metropolitan University BSc Sport (Top-Up Year) is a one-year full-time course designed to enable students to add to the existing coursework, such as an HND or Foundation Degree, to complete a full honours degree. It is a very flexible programme with students being able to design their own learning experience by selecting modules that match their career goals in areas like sport science, sport coaching, or sport management/development.
It has compulsory modules, one of which is the Final Project and the other the Industry Placement, which is part of the core aspect of the degree, to help the students put their knowledge into practice. This top-up year helps students develop personal independence, and graduates are well-positioned to advance to professional jobs or to master’s level education.
