BSc Biomedical Science

The BSc Biomedical Science degree is accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) and the Royal Society of Biology. The programme teaches students the science and practical skills needed for the investigation of human diseases and disorders, such as cancer and diabetes.

Graduates of this course meet the academic requirements to become registered Biomedical Scientists after completing additional professional training in a work setting. The degree runs for three years, with an optional foundation year for those who need extra preparation.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants need 112–120 UCAS points from A-levels, BTEC, T Levels, or equivalent qualifications in subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Physical Education, IT, Mathematics, Food Technology, Environmental Science, or Geography.
•  Equivalent international qualifications are also accepted.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants must achieve an overall IELTS score of 6.0, with no component below 5.5.
• Equivalent English language qualifications, including PTE Academic and Cambridge Assessment English, are also accepted.

The tuition fee for international students enrolled in the BSc Biomedical Science programme at Cardiff Metropolitan University is £16,000 per year.

Cardiff Metropolitan University offers a variety of scholarships for undergraduate students.
