Course Overview

The Birmingham City University BSc Nursing - Mental Health degree is designed to prepare students with the clinical skills and practical experience needed to become professional practitioners in mental health nursing. Entry Requirements

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying to the course and provide other relevant information about their studies. A relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to upload their CVs along with their applications to demonstrate their work experience.

Grade Requirements: 

  • The standard offer requires 120 UCAS Tariff points, including A Levels, BTEC Extended Diploma, BTEC Diploma, T Levels, or International Baccalaureate. 
  • A-level equivalent international qualifications are also accepted.

English Proficiency: 

  • Applicants whose primary language is not English need an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no individual component scoring below 5.5. 
  • The university also accepts other equivalent English language test scores, like TOEFL and PTE.

Cost of Study

The annual tuition fee for international students taking the BSc Nursing - Mental Health at Birmingham City University is £17,690.

Scholarships

Nursing students who are eligible for a student loan will receive at least £5,000 a year in additional funding to help with maintenance and associated study costs. The university also notes that students who have previously received a student loan for an undergraduate degree may still be eligible for funding for a second degree in nursing.
