Entry Requirements
Grade Requirements:
- Applicants with a Higher National Diploma (HND) or Diploma in Higher Education (DipHE) must have completed 120 credits at Level 4 and 120 credits at Level 5 in a relevant subject area, with an overall Merit grade or higher.
- Those with an ABE Advanced Diploma must have at least a grade B in two modules, and the qualification must be in a relevant subject area.
English Proficiency:
- International students will be required to provide proof of proficiency in English with an IELTS overall score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each of the four bands.
- Those who do not meet the required IELTS score may be eligible for the university’s pre-sessional English courses.

For the 2025/2026 academic session, the tuition fee to study the BA Business Administration (Top-up) is £17,690.
Scholarships
Birmingham City University provides merit-based scholarships by recognising the talents of international students. These scholarships are discounted against students’ first year's Bachelor's degree tuition fees. For instance, all international students enrolling in an undergraduate course will be eligible for a scholarship of up to £2,000, discounted from their first year's tuition fees. This scholarship is awarded based on students’ academic background.
